Re: [BaadAssGremlins] my 71 gremlin project

i am 2 thanks again for all the support from this group  sort of got me inspired  as well as a nagging ex wife who wants every thing in the world to go her way  there was a lot of late night tinkering on the gremlin just to get my mind off things I HAVE A SUGGESTION FOR BOLTS THAT WONT LOOSEN PUT A LITTLE PB BLASTER  OR WD 40 AND GO CALL AN EX AND HAVE A FIGHT WITH THEM THEN GO OUT AND TRY THAT STUBBORN BOLT AGAIN I BET IT COMES RIGHT OFF MINE DID .... LOL     like i said before it still has a few problems like the carb leaking all over the place until it warms up i will rebuild it before i drive any distance in it dont worry about not working on yours terry for ten years it took me 23 to actually by another one to work on but there is no feeling in the world like saying that you did the work yourself and the feeling of accomplishment that goes with that not to say that there are not things that i am going to have to pay someone to finish as i do not have the experiance or the tools to do it but after driving around in a new car with a warranty and not having to lift a finger  i am very rusty but am getting into the swing of things again and am loving it i am glad i bought this car  sorry to ramble on i have to go now  ...henry--- On Wed, 7/15/09, Terry Atkins <twa1950@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:

I am sure glad you got it running for your mom. I remember when you first mentioned it you didn't think you had a chance in getting it ready. Don't be like me I have had great plans for my Gremlin for the last 10 years and I never get around to doing much to it except take it to shows like it is. I have actually spent more money on it this year than I have for a long time. With the new tires, the brakes and the few other things I had done to it I actually feel comfortable driving it. I haven't felt that way in three or four years. I should have had my ass kick there wasn't an excuse for it except I am cheap and lazy.
Terry

hee is a few pics of my 71 gremlin it is no where near show quality but it is a project in the works but at least it is functional and drivable now most is stock including the 232 motor and some things are not it still needs some work and paint but thanks to every one that has helped to get this up and running as quickly as possible in my short time restraint so that my mother could see it and go for a ride in it before she  passes on thanks again to davis if it had not been for you i would probably not have any fenders for it yet but i am happy at how it is comming out so far it needs a new carpet or mat on the floor and the stuff on the back seat is just dust from when i was sanding and forgot to wipe it off the rear seat is mint but the front still needs help when i do get the 76 hornet i posted pics  of before, i plan on taking the tilt column and the power steering to install on it and then i will probably convert it to disc brakes instead of drums all the way around
