[BaadAssGremlins] gastank interchange???

Dumb question???? Can you install a gas tank from a 74-76??(seperate filler neck/with rubber grommet) in a 72-73 that has the filler neck made into the tank??? I know i'd need a filler neck. Several years ago i had a very nice 74-76(seperate filler neck) tank cleaned/sump welded in  for my 73 Gremlin. I just went to look it over and realized..DUH...that my 72 and 73 have the filler welded into the tank!! Any helpful advise greatly appreciated!! Anyone have a spare seperate filler neck?
