Hi Terry and good question about why people restore a car, only to sell it
later. It really all depends on a whole variety of factors. I have seen.....job
losses, mortgage problems, spouses or family member die or handicapped, move on
to new project, boredom, school, financial, rather endless list. Gary works for
Exxon here in Houston, and before this had a nice "B" SC/Rambler that I passed
on...he almost got it finished and something happendd in his life that he sold
it for $5000. So never can tell.
With me, I don't get too attached to them and sort of treat them like
girlfriends in high school and move on. However! Some.....like my 68 Rebel
convertible "Machine' you sort of take a liking to regardless of what it may/may
not be worth and the car sort of grows on you. Like herpes. Which then reminds
me of old girlfriends in high school again.
