Without looking no one will ever know. It would have not been put in there
by Mopar however as the AMC 360 was last pressed in 1992. A few years ago I
dropped in a 74 aMC 258 into a 78 Pacer of which that 258 had blown, and it
passed emissions. But thewre is absolutely no way that the engine in there would
have come from Chrysler new...much less in 2001. Chalk this one up to www.urbanlegends.com or www.snopes.com or mythbusters. Not caling his
uncle a liar, just one of those things AMCers hear...even when our cars were
new...that the AMC 390 is Ford 390 is Mopar 360 is AMC 360 is Buick 401 is AMC
401 is Rambler 327 is Chevy 327...ect...
