Well you probably heard that Houston got smacked by flooding again today.
Some areas got hit harder than last week. The area I live in and surrounding
areas from basically Beltway 8 north to 290 and west and sout of that got
hit really hard, 9-11 inches of rain last night. I heard the rain falling
and didn't think too much of it. I got up about 5AM and feet hit
water.....in the house. I woke up Paige & the boys, but not much could do
except start trying to barricade the doors with towels. About 2 inches in
the house, never has flooded inside the house, not during Allison, not
during Ike.
Inside the garage was over 5 inches of water. So all day today we have been
using wetvac, pulling up carpet in rooms, throwing away a lot of stuff Paige
was going to do garage sale early May, just cleaning up, and jut got a
dehumidifier to run so hopefully won't get mold in walls and sheetrock.
Here are a
few photos I took this morning:
http://www.planetho ustonamx. com/Picture_ 100.jpgthe reflections in the floor is well, water.

floodwaters were 15 feet deep there...up to bottom of I-10 or
 stop lights.
http://www.planetho ustonamx. com/Picture_ 121.jpgthis looks like I have a really bad bladder problem but it is that deep. The
people on this street, Timber Oak, had just clenaed up from LAST WEEK'S
flood, and this time they blocked the street with vehicles so people in big
trucks could not cause wakes.....in their homes.
If anyone here was expecting something from me, there will be a slight
shipping delay, probably 2-3 days max until we can clean up and dry out
here. Thanks for patience.
Welcome to Houston.,
