That is beautiful and a last year V8 hatchback, only 2331
Concord hatchbacks made in 1979, and a honest guess would be less than 100 had
factory 304V8. On thop of that you have this nice brown and suddenly you have
something like one of one left. Quite neat.
Here is something else, unfortuately this car has been passed
around like my ex wife in winning teams locker room. It's one of only 20
made:
and my comments to good buddy Randy Tate in east Texas who
commented about the 'rarity' of it yesterday.....
"As for the Hornet, yes, this car has been passed arounbd like
my ex wife in winning team's locker room. So has that brown 73 360 Hornet
hatchback John Rosa bought, then sold to the guy in NY, then he sold it, then
ebay over and over, but some cars they get stuck in ebay hell. The pompeii
yellow 69 AMX at the motoexortica place is one, started at $32K, and after 14+
weeks on ebay it was buy it now for $16K, and on craigslist in that area where
they are located for a measly $14K. Nice AMX too. Now the BBB 69 AMX w 290 is
another, started at $36K, now after 3-4 months of begging is something at buy it
now $22K and will continue to drop I guess, but some shit gets stigmatized then
everyone remembers it and just watches in awe. "
My ex wife sure gets around. Unfortunately the comments about
some of these cars is legit, as some of them simply go around and around from
person to person, no one seems to get to enjoy them, just dealers and
speculators trying to make quick buck I guess. Hopefully all of these will end
up with real AMCers who appreciate not only the rarity of them, but take care of
them regardless of what perceived market value may/may not be.
