Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Brakes

The year and model are my problem as when I converted, many years ago the seller just sold a used conversion setup and I thought they were from a Hornet. What confuses us is that the new ones are a crossover match to the numbers off the old ones, even my parts store(old style) is confused and searching.

What year and model are the brakes off of.  The ones that I'm using are from a 82 Concord and I got new rotors at Auto Zone.  Everything fit great.  I could look up the part number if you think it would help as I still have the receipt.

Thanks Davis but I'm reusing the same bearings as they are still good, just repacked them. The seals for these is about an eigth inch wider then the one for the old discs. I will see if there ar other bearings as you suggest though.

Hal,
They could have the wrong bearings in them. I would bring both sets to a competent auto parts store that can  crossreference bearing numbers and get you fixed up.

Guys and gals,
I have been redoing my front end on my 74 Gremmy X and got to the disc brakes that I put on. When the new disc's arrived and I tried to install they were a little too large for the spindles. They had some play in them were the others didn't. Now the new discs,EXPENSIVE! , match the old ones in parts number so I am confused.
Can anyone help me here? I need to replace the old discs and i need to get my baby on the road.
Hal
