[BaadAssGremlins] Hood Clearance with Edelbrock RPM Gremlin/Spirit

One of these months I will finally install my new 401. It has the RPM 
on it.  I prefer to run with atleast a 1/2 spacer under the carb.  Will 
i still have clearance for a 3in tall fileter and the 1/2 spacer?

Are then any neat ideas  for hood scoops on the 77 up gremlin and 
spirit?
