Happy new year! Thanks so much for thinking of me
I sold the green 72 hornet yesterday. I couldn't get 400.00 for it thru the AMC internet venues last year but put it on Craigs list and it sold for 850.00 in less then a week.
I still have the black 70 hornet. It has a charging issue, it has a new alt, new reg and still no charge.
I have a 67 American I plan to do up next. I am trying to make room in a garage for it.
Plans are to rebuild the front end, Do the body and Paint( unsure of color it is factory gold now) New disks up front, 360 auto and then sell it after playing with it for a few weeks.
My Gremlin sits in the garage waiting much needed work. I have to pull the motor n tranny. Motor, cause I have to replace the oil pan with the new one I have, I need to clean and repaint the block, I want to powder coat the pulleys, and the intake, I have new billet mirror polished valve covers for it too. I Have a tranny leak to fix. It is leaking where the hose connects. Then I need to rewire the cooling system. I have it all hooked to one switch ATM. 3 electric fans and the water pump. They need separate circuits.
The Jet hot coated headers are rust stained on the tops of the tubes so they have to go back to jet hot for warranty repair. I have new slicks but still need to have them mounted. I need better offset rims though.
So lots to do... I have to clean and organize my workshop first. It is a disaster from when I put the ladder bars in the Gremlin.
Tough to get Garage time but I am trying to get a couple hours a day while I am off work.
This past year has really sucked work wise. I have only worked 10 weeks out of the past 52. I hope to get more steady work in the spring but my un employment will run out next month. I am going crazy
