That is a good question. I doubt if there is anywhere in the world you could find the answer. Even if you get the state records for how many were still registered that wouldn't be right. Mine is registered as an AMC period. Now if we are guessing I would be very surprised if there are 5000 Gremlins left and way less than that in owners but that is just observation. I have no idea.
