The fellow just emailed me and mentioned it sold for $1900 locally. Hope it
finds a good home. Being from Corpus Christi originally I can quickly tell you
that cars down there, no matter if garaged and even climate controlled, get
rust. Corpus is one of the windiest cities in the US and sits on the bay which
backs up to Gulf. So 24/7 is salt air. Great for skin however as it is nature's
moistureiser and can save you money on Avon products. Bad for cars as no matter
how well kept and cared for, rust happens. And in places one would never expect
to see it. I used to have rust on factory seams for instance. And if you have a
vinyl roof, you have a 'sponge' on your car soaking it in. Items left from
factory in original condition, not coated like springs get rust. Not saying any
of these can't be saved just from being born and raised down there know what the
salt air bombardment can do. And this little 78 AMX on ebay if you looked
closely, had some real issues with rust. Still a good little car!
