Thanks for that info Bart. AS my Javelin is a V8 it looks as though I will be looking for a while to find a replacement.

My 68 javelin is making bad sounds from the rearend and I wonder if any of you would know what rears swap over? Oh to keep it on Gremlins, I should have my 70 "on the road" this time next week. thanks for the help. Hal
They do buuut the question is,is your Jav a V8? if so it has the AMC model 20 rear wich has a 12 bolt cover at the end and if its a 6 banger it has the AMC Model 15 which has 10 bolts on the rear cover. The 6 rear is not a good idea with a V8 and if your Jav has a V8 rear then any 68-70 Javelin and AMX rear is a bolt in .the 71-74 rears will as well but the width is wider and you might not want that. Also any factory V8 72-76 Gremlin,70-77 Hornet,78-79 Concord and 79 Spirit rear will bolt in as its the same width as the 68-70 Javelin and AMX.Now any 66-69 Rogue,American, SC/Rambler rear is narrower than the 68-70 Javelin and AMX rear so be careful with those as if your planning on using solid axles you'd have to have them cut down in size.
