[BaadAssGremlins] 4x4 GREMLIN

Dave, that's one nice Kammback - looks like a DL
model, Best of Breed interior.

Can't believe how intact the car is - you lucked out!

As it sits - around $2,500 .

Here's a few pointers:

Those rear bumper ends do not exist on any other
AMC / EAGLE model so think of using them as molds to
glas' up some replacements 'cause these tend to
dissolve under the right circumstances.

When they're gone - they're gone - no one has them.

Remove all the plastic arch / rocker trim and
paint the metal with something like www.corroless.com
anti-corrosion paint.

These rust in the same places as do GREMLINS:

Quarters , dog legs, door skin seams, inside
rocker panels, inside front sub frames, fender
troughs, door pillars.

Pull the rear hatch rubber seal - that lip
of metal dissolves as do the rear side window
metal to seal lip.

You can get one of those commercial undercoating
kits with a wand & spray corroless inside the
rockers etc. - check the drains under the car too.

The plastic rocker cover on the engine is a hazard
as they all leak onto to the exhaust manifold.

Get an aluminum replacement asap.

When you want to get jiggy, replace the head
and valve cover with a
'93 JEEP 4.0 unit , use a '99+ intake.

You can run the EFi with a GM ECM from a junker
or strip out the harness & ECM from an '88 or '89
Renix 4.0 Cherokee.  These have stand alone
ECM and TCM modules. [trans control module]

All this info is in the
www.strokers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx archives - ain't
rocket science but will deliver a huge power
increase along with driveability improvements.

The header off an '88-'89 4.0 will fit the EAGLE
4.0 head conversion with a little massaging.

The '93 head has major flow work done by the Factory.
Raised ports etc. - well worth the consideration.

No, they run like shite using a carb - stay with
the EFi.
