I don't know if any of those Gremlins coming in will have a 'complete'
harness, but would be happy to check next time I go over there, possibly next
Saturday to change some tires again. I'll take machete also:
as there are I believe four in there lurking, along with three inch long
Texas red wasps, scorpions, centipedes, crawdads, and whoa! There are three of
my cooks from the bar also!

Technology, sufficently advanced,
would be indistinguishable from magic. Redneck from birth. Rebel
by choice. CJ

It's my understanding that James made a comment to the deputies
that 'he could take them out'. Granted, I was not there and you
are looking at a 39 year old guy who had lost his wife 2 years
earlier, also had lost his job I understand, and the deputies
where there to serve eviction notice, so was losing his house too.
I never saw a bad side of this fellow, always a big teddy bear
guy. Again one can only surmise what someone will do in
same/similiar situation give these circumstances
above.
James was a chemical engineer and if he wanted.....he
could have devised a device easily that would have taken out
Spring, Woodlands and northern 1/2 of Houston. He dealt with
explosives all his life at work, so was schooled in that and the
press reported (and the media of course twists story) that his
experience in that field is what prompted the SWAT situation. At least
that is what was reported. Again, like the polygamy situation in
Eldorado Texas you are only getting partial story.
Someone
asked me if it was 'death by cop' no, it was not, and again, I was
not there so do not know. His dad told me that they shot him 11
times.....this was not reported in the press I may add. I have
seen crackheads and robbery & murder suspects in this town get
tasered, not shot 11 times; and there has been 8 homicides in
Houston in the last 8 days for instance, quite a roll.
I
probably have some photos of him at the Autorama, as he did win a 1st
with that 74 Levis 304 Gremlin, and I usually attended the awards
ceremony and would take photos of the local club members who
trophied for the newsletter. If I ever find that photo, will make
8x10 and mail it to his folks. And put a copy of it on my site so
people can see he was harmless.
On that note there is a letter
from Iraq from a friend of his who could not make the memorial and
had heard about James. Him & James rolled a butternut 304 p38
Gremlin years ago, off Rankin road, at 100mph with this fellow
serving in Iraq. The fellow in Iraq wrote a four page letter (to
give to James mom and dad) I will probably put on my site, really
inspiring from the pits of hell over there and makes one look at
what is important in life like family & soul, while sitting on
outskirts of Baghdad. Ya'll take care, Eddie Stakes' Planet
