[BaadAssGremlins] Rear crossmember

I just did a V8 conversion & used the rear crossmember from the 6 cyc 
trans. When I reinstalled it, the mount is 1 1/2" behind the place it i 
suppose to be. Is there a V8 rear crossmember or am I installing it 
wrong. The trans came from a '68 Javelin connected to a 290. This group 
has always been helpful in the past & I rely on the experts here.
