I have 78 Concord discs on my 74 Hornet. Do you have the proper disc brake master? Also on some masters there is an adjustment on the rod. I had a similar problem until I futzed with the length of the rod to cure the locking up problem. Not by the AMC tech. book I might add. I shortened the rod several times till the brakes did not lock up any more. It has worked for the last 25 years with no problem. Sorry if this reply is late I have been off line for almost a week.
