On the radio, while there is chrome type paint one can find in model shops 
and hobby stores, I have used silver paint. You can get a bag of kids 
paintbrushes at dollar store. While not correct it looks great. Not 
mentioned here but on tires, I have used shoe polish since 1980s to touch 
them up on the day of show; white for white letters, black to cover any 
small imperfections.
