Since mid January due to
the cold, I have only gone
out once a week to do the
banking and family
business. The body pains
have gotten to feel
bearable with the warm
weather. The wife lost her
job last Monday and my life
has been a livening hell
since that. We are on a
clean up campaign, If you
don't use it toss it, BITE
ME!!!! You AMC list
members remember my reply
to a post last week. The V8
conversion is on track for
my yellow Hornet now. Money
is really tight now.

Gary some how you mis-
understanded what I said. I
said money was tight, but I
am far from broke. Only a
fool would not realize
money would be tight and
not to be spent foolishly
at this time. My wifes
unemployment is good for a
year and she gets 2/3's of
her pay every week not
working. As far as my
spending spree goes I spent
15,000$ over a 3 1/2 year
period fixing up my orange
Hornet into a nice looking,
dependable daily driver.
love that 258 1bbl carb
engine with these gas
prices. I needed a new
dependable daily driver as
my Malibu is about shot.
What kind of a nice used
car could I get for 15,000
$, some Ho Hum front wheel
drive, rack & pinion
steering, 4 door ricer type
car? All the above are
things I ate about newer
cars. To be blunt I hate
new cars period as they
have no style or carisma.
So on my so called spending
spree I got a car that I
like that looks and drives
real nice, is comfortable,
good on gas and by it's
looks sets me apart from
the Ho Hum 4 door crowd.
Besides I have heen
driveing the same basic
car, my yellow Hornet for
33 years now. Oh and the
A/C with the old R-12 still
blows cold from when it was
charged up 3 years ago. I
just tried it monday. My
health has been slowly
failing for the last 18
years but I am far from
dead yet. The only problem
I really have is the wife
being home 24/7 and
driveing me NUTS. But that
will end soon as of May
first when she will watch
our grand son at my
daughters 5 days a week.
WOOPEEEE. So as said by
some one famous one
time "The Rumors Of My
Demise Have Been Greatly
Been Exagerated"
"Doc"
