Bob, I´m not sure what to
tell you about the headers, but I can certainly recommend Hooker Aero Chamber
mufflers. I´ve used them with a great degree of success. The guys I’ve
installed these mufflers on their cars are quite satisfied. Performance is on
par with Flowmaster without the tiny resonance of the flows. Sounds pretty good
if you really want to know at idle, they’re docile enough to pull along side a
cop car, but when you stomp on it, everyone will know you’re coming! As for cut-outs or out
back, I’d go out the back, keeps the noise level inside the car liveable + ensures
no exhaust fumes make their way back into the car during extended idle periods
(cruise runs, traffic, etc.) Hope my 2 Cents help you
