Good You buy a set of his heads and sink twice what the indys cost into them. I respect what he has done for amc and dragracing  but I am not a fan of Herman's latest work.

That Grem is awsome too! 11.5 to 1 comp is alot with todays 10% alcohol junk 93 octain. Barry claims I should have no trouble hitting 600 HP with my mild build. 10.4 to 1 comp,HLR heads( will never recommend them to anyone )  323 cfm @.700 lift @ 28" water on the superflow with 2.1 int and 1.625 exh, small flat tappet 260 dur @ .050,  570 lift cam, HLR intake ported to match the heads, Demon 850 carb, Have other carbs to try as this will be dynoed. Also have a few intakes and headers to test. should be interesting. I am shooting for 500 HP on New englands crapy gas.

Ok please not another anti Herman thread.Barry Allen builds some awesome stuff for AMC's but lets not forget that Herman paved the way for big time AMC go fast goodies.Hermans getting a lil long in the tooth and i'm afraid his AMC building days are numbered but i still consider him the 'Smokey Yunick' of the AMC racing engine builders.
