Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Rear Tail Shaft Seal

You have a point Luke. We do live in an instant society. I can see some one walking up to a cash register and there was someone with a pencil and piece of paper figuring up his bill. As for as computers go while years ago my job was done by hand it is now impossible to do it without the computer. When it quits working I quit. Nothing I can do. I bet you guys don't even have cross reference books. I bet all you have is the computer. A lot of crap is nobodies fought it is just the way things are today. Take Doc's example about guys not knowing how to diagnose a car problem with out a computer telling what is wrong. I got my Cougar in the shop for the sole reason I am tired of looking at a bright yellow light shinning in my face all the time telling me to check engine the car is running fine. I also took a $150 gamble not long ago and replace a sensor on the side of my transmission that told it what gear it was in. It was shifting down to second into neutral for no reason at all. Seems like all that fancy floor shifts does is turn a rod in the transmission that moves the insides of this switch. The switch then tells the computer what gear I am in and then it tells the transmission. Sounds to complicated to me.

I was just wondering what your experience was. Thanks
for the input. There is a non chain parts store up the
hill from where I work that I have had good experience
with. I like supporting the little guy. In fact I got
a differential cover gasket at that store that we
didnt have where I work. It's sad how quickly customer
want things nowadays. They don't seem to have time for
us to look for parts in a book.
