I agree. My suggestion would for everyone to possibly make
a designated meeting spot after everyone has hit swap meet and photographed
cars, and even helped judge. Look over ther AMO Intenerary also to make sure the
get together don't conflict with something else important at the meet, or it
cuts out many people who otherwise would want to get together at a informal
meeting! Also if someone has a printer to make nametags, this helps. Years ago
someone made neat buttons with amxfiles gren/orange/blue (big bad colored)
140mph speedo. That way people could ID other amxfiles members at meet. Not that
they wanted to kiss them or knock teeth out, just ID them as fellow amxfiler,
great idea. If someone wants to make a 'badassgremlin yahoo' badge, generic,
then ya'll get together and write in names that would be neat. At the meet,
people were constantly asking me where they could get 'one of those cool
buttons'.
One get together was at a pizza place up in Kenosha,
however, so disorganized after 15 minutes people all headed off in every
direction, some went in to eat, others hung around parking lot, others took off
to host hotel to look at cars, still others went to Andy's Drive Inn and others
to the Sheridan, WI screening of Man With Golden Gun at the drive inn, whihc was
packed with AMCs, so a good idea, but again, so much shit to do in so many
hours, have to work fast and be organized....
