Like you said Davis it is his car. I tried to advise him on it and he is an adult now so he thinks and know's better than me. I just don't bother to give advice any more or care any more as long as that car is out of my garage SOON!!!!!!! "Doc" ------------------------ Yahoo! What a waste! That car is VERY restorable! I hate people that cut up a restorable car. I sold one in much worse shape to a guy in min for restoration.Man that burns me. I would have paid him a fair price too. I have the front suspension for it and a 360/727 combo for it. I was hoping to have a 2nd street car for long distance shows.O well. it's his car guess he can do with it what he wants. I saw what he wanted for the crossram. Lots in the amc community got a good laugh.Davis

parts and cutting out the rust free floors. He supposedly has a place to
do all this. The Spirit disc brake set up is still yours.

work in. Mine is still stuffed full of parts and my son's 74 Javelin and
my orange Hornet. I can barely get in the Hornet to get it out of the
garage.

Doc,I hear ya. I have the same weather up here. I will be going out in a few min to see if I can get a coil of stainless brake line and fittings so I can plumb up my brake system. I did find out the Earls flex lines I have for the rear disks are both streight ends and I have to have a 90 end to clear the wheel, So I will have to send them back to Summit and order the right ones. Then I will have to get an adapter to go from the flex line to the hard line as they have different types of flare on the ends. Then there is the fuel system. No one makes a 90 deg 8 an to 1/2" hard lime so I have to spend another 20 bucks for an adaptor. It will cost me over 100 bucks to install my fuel cell.Like you have said a million times, NOTHING is ever easy on an AMC.last nigh t before I went to bed I was looking at the pics in my folder and I am kinda proud of my fabrication skills and My car has come a long way from where it started. Granted I have a longer way to finish.Davis
AMC74HORNET@xxxxxxxxx wrote:The grill is still not back in the car due to the front bumper having to
be removed to install the last mounting bolt in the bracket on the oil
cooler and the electric fan. My friends shop is real busy and he can not
do it right now and I am not physically able a ny more to remove the
bumper myself. The thermocoupler to automatically operate the fan was
not in the installation kit I bought. It is supposedly on it's way. Will
also be adding a 35 amp switch to the fan to allow it to work on the
thermocoupler or manually on & off. The switch came 2 day's after I
ordered it. I can park the car in front of my friends shop in the shade
to re-do the double factory pin stripe but it was to damn hot last week
and is now raining with a vengeance for probably the next week so that
is out. I cut the letters spelling American Motors out of the dark smoke
window tint for the windshield and made the jig to make a straight
reference line across the windshield to install them but then again the
weather will put the kibosh on that too. I guess I will have to dig out
the AMX fender flairs and pick the best ones and start stripping them so
I can paint them. Damn weather.
