Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Been a while

Thanks Davis I think the detailed wheels with my home made AMC emblems
make the exterior look of the car. Those headlight dimmer switches are
over the counter parts at the local auto parts store here. I was told
last year when I got mine that the same switch was used on Fords and
Mopar's too. I remember before I became disabled and retired how hectic
life can be. Now I have all this time to spend doing as I please my body
permitting.

I haven't had much time with being back to work. I just got to sit
and read all the last weeks emails. Doc, Nice pics Lu put up for ya.
I love the rims!
I sold a bunch of stuff a few weeks ago and haven't even had time
to pack and ship the stuff. I got everything packed last weekend and
am shipping everything monday. I went from ton's of free time to
nada.
I will not have my car ready for Cecil I will be going with Bill
and we are bringing the Amc Team Spirit though.
I got new roller rockers for my Herman Lewis heads. YellaTerra's
705.00 !!!!! I had to grind the pushrod holes for clerance did that
wed night took 2 hrs. I have about 3 hours of porting left to do,
enlarge the spotface for head bolt washers, and mill the heads down
to make compression 10.5:1 . Started with 47CC comb chambers and had
to open them up to 56 to unshroud the valves. Will be cut back to
52cc.
I have 20 hours labor grinding on thee heads.
I got the man steering box painted and installed and I also got the
steering collum painted and installed. I blasted and painted the
auto brake pedel I got from Rick and installed it with a NOS rubber
pad. My Son stood infront of the steering wheel and started
pretending to drive. My wife asked him what he was doin he said "I'm
Drivin" I was a proud pappa! He is just 18 mos old and smart as a
whip.

I still have to get lots of parts and finish the install of the pro
street fuel cell I got, I am customizing it to use the stock gas
fillerneck so I don't have to open the hatch to gas up. I have to
figure out where I will mout the new gas gauge I got with it. any
ideas?
I got a new master cylinder for the car, Wanted lightweight
aluminum with modern internals for my disk/disk setup. Did ALOT of
research and found that a 89 cherokee is a direct replacement for
the 72 grem and it is lightweight aluminum and modern! Now I have to
get new brake lines and do the custom install on them. Have decided
to put the line lock under the steering collum to keep the engine
bay less cluttered looking.
Yesterday I was able to clean and inspect my entire wire harness.
My son ran arround the yard while I did the cleaning on the tailgate
of my truck. I found a selonoid of some sort on the under dash
wiring that is melted. Gotta figure out what it is so I can hopfully
replace it. I got a NOS dimmer switch for it last week but I need a
new plug to splice in as that is melted too.
Happy fathers day to all the Dad's out there. And to you too LU as
you are both a mom and a dad!
I get to go to a carosel and fire truck musium today .....I thought
I was supposed to get to do what I wanted today?

Davis
