I remember them. Doc. They sucked. If I wasn't  dreaming I think one of the sites that offered the intake manifold for the 6 had a fuel injection system for a 6. I would think you could use one off a late model jeep with an inline 6. Don't know about one for an 8. You said mechanical didn't you. I would guess these are electronic.

Does anyone know if there was a mechanical fuel injection system made
for an AMC motor? Just got thinking about it this afternoon and
