Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Cam question

Charlie,
If you do some porting,  valve job, and new competition springs, also a higher stall speed, You could go with the Summit big cam for a nice lumpy idle and much better strip performance. You will also need to run a torker intake and a holley 650 Dp carb.
If I knew your specific goals I could give better reccommendations.

Thanks Davis. I was looking at your pictures. You obviously have lots of experience. If I were to hold off and do a cam and some headwork over the winter, what would you recommend?

Charlie,
The Summit small cam would be perfect(summitracing.com). You can even still use the stock valve springs and the cam and lifter kit is only like 80 bucks,

Thus far, all of my engine work (304) has been external - headers, manifold, carb, coil, etc.
I'd like to change the cam without going so radical that I need to do head work or any other motor work. Any suggestions in terms of brand and "size"?
