No offence meant as I said I was old fashioned. If I were building a
race car I would paint the carbon fiber parts to match the car. How much
of a weight savings do you get with a carbon fiber hood over a
fiberglass one?

Doc,
 I don't equate carbon fiber with ricers. I see it on Lots of race cars. Yes I am doing it mainly for the weight savings. also I don't have to paint those parts so it also will save time.

 The Carbon fiber came in yesterday for my hood. I hope to have it made and pics up by next weekend.

Well today I got some paint on!!! ! YEEEHHAAAA!!
  I finished up the sandblasting and welded in the replacement pannels
and got a coat o self etching primer on. I also painted SEM Rust
Shield on any place that had surface rust that had been blasted off.
Car is startin to look like it's gettin somewhere finally.
I posted new pics of today's progress in my folder.Tomorrow it is
supposed to be 69 out so I hope to get some body work done.
