Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Question about headers for 258

Ya I know...but nothing is cheap now days anyway.... or should I say free....especially when it comes to an inline. I asked Clifford the other day about if they had changed their header style at all in the last 15-20 years and they have. My headers on my Gremlin hang way low...about 3 inches from the ground, I had to weld a small skid plate on the bottom 3 tubes. I have also had to have one of the collectors re-done at a local exaust shop. I am not going to buy a new one, I was just curious. They now dump about 1 inch below where the pan and block come together. Cliffords responce was that they were having complaints about clearence problems....GO FIGURE!! I've been bitchen about them since I put the things on!!! LOL!! But, I still think that they are cool....I like the look of a car coming at ya and ya can see the headers hangin' low.      Bill Id.

Charles you still thinkin' about swappin' out?? Believe me on one thing...If I had known it was going to cost so much for all the crap on mine....I would of swapped in a 360, but I have got way to much into it to swapp it out. You live and learn from your mistakes. Dont get me wrong.. I feel that I didnt make a mistake on the intake and headers, and all the other stuff. It was learning part that I enjoyed...plus SMOKIN' a V-8 car once in awhile didnt hurt either. People hear it..and think its a V-8, they see it haulin' they think its a V-8, pop the hood....and people go...W.T.F.??????   LOL!!  Bill Id.
