Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Re: INDY heads/RPM Air-Gap...mismatch???? HUGE gap on the end rails

Joe,
I would see if you can return or sell the airgap. If you put it on the forum I bet you can get close to what you paid for it as there are never any for sale there. Or ebay it with a reserve. I wanted one but have learned it isn't that great compared to the torker and indy ( my application)

Davis....so if i understood..the intake gaskets that indy sent me
have ports that are spaced different than the regular intake
gaskets..mr gasket..etc??Sounds like i need the indy intake!! YES..it
will be dyno'd!! Now...what to do with my NEW airgap. Thanks,Joe

their indy intake is made to match. Also the gap at the ends of the
intake are because of the taller heads and I think I remember you
decked the block some too. You will need to make a 1/2" spacer out of
aluminum and use silicone to seal it up. Or Just get the indy intake
and your done!
> I have spent 8 hours grinding on my torker intake. I ported the
carb side of the plennum (5 hours) and airgapped the intake(3 hrs) I
still have to match the ports like you are doing when my engine is
together, That should take about another 4 hrs. I figured at the
machine shops rate of $90.00/hr That's 1080.00 plus I have to have a
spot welded 40.00 so that's $1120.00 and doesn't even include the
cost of buying the intake! So I will have a 1300 dollar torker all
for an extra 12 HP.

shop to do it in.
