Very common 000 VIN's in 1973. Here is a copy of a 73 Hornet Sportabout Texas title for instance I sold last year for $975. Facroty 304V8, AT, nicly optioned, offered it here on Bart's list and other places for months and no bites, so finally simply shoved it on ebait. Sadly the fellow who bought it only wanted to custom it and took it to Dallas, where he promptly changed plans when somethign else caught his eye and it was back up on ebay...a month later for well, $975, where it sold last day and is now in Tennessee.Note the VIN of A3A087H009581; this was a September 1972 built car, very early 1973 production, so sort of neat, that and it was a factory 304V8 car. The copy of the title you see here is a copy of the ORIGINAL title also, sold new to Betty there from Taylor American in Dallas Texas in 1973.....and also worth noting is the original owner title date off to the left of 09/25/73 also.----- Original Message -----From: John W RosaSent: Sunday, March 19, 2006 8:50 AMSubject: RE: [BaadAssGremlins] Re: CANADIANCARToo simple. Bill has a shop manual, but for anyone who has a shop manual (TSM) for
almost all years before 1981, inside the very front pages where it describes
how to figure out your VIN and door tag, it will have a blurb that
100001-699,999 is Kenosha built, while 700,001 thru 1,000,000 is Brampton
built. I have enclosed the second page from a 1970 TSM here, look in middle
row. Hope that helps,
