It's been a long time or should I say 20 years since I have done any free hand pin striping or lettering. A test yesterday showed I cannot do the lettering on my door sills free hand to the quality I can accept. The only thing I can do is use 3M's 1/4" and 1/8" blue Fine Line pin striping tape to mask up the letters so I can then paint them. Now that is going to be one tedious job in itself. I have started on the second door sill. It has some of the dings and dents removed and has been wire wheeled with my Dremil and hand brushed with a brass bristle brush with Mother Aluminum & Mag Wheel Polish to clean out all the nooks and cranny's. This one being in much better shape and now I know what I am doing should take half the time of the first one. This makes a nice winter project. "Doc" Yahoo!
