[BaadAssGremlins] 727 TQ Flite question..interchange...WEIRD metal line??

Just pulled a 727 TQ Flite off an old 360 i got from a fellow as a 
package. Suppoesdly it came from a early/mid 70's 
Ambassador/Matador.The 360 has EGR...so it's atleast a 1973. 
Question...Is it the same exact trans as my 74 AMX?? Need to know if 
it will hook up to everything correctly(linkage...etc)?? Also...the 
727 off the Matador??..or whatever......360 2bbl has a metal line(like 
a modulator tube ) that went from a solenoid on top of the 
intake...down to the bottom side of the tailshaft housing???? MY AMX
(1974) 727 has a plug threaded into that orfice??? WHAT is it for? If 
i plug the hole in the Matador trans...will it work properly? SORRY if 
this is a dumb question...first time i've compared the two 727's!!
