[BaadAssGremlins] 70 Gremlin question

Okay, I just noticed that the heat riser hose from the exhaust manifold 
to the choke on my 1970 199 cu. in. Gremlin is broken down by the 
manifold. Is there a fix that is easy or would I be bettr off plugging 
thehole and putting on an electric choke?
