First off, thanks to all those who have offered condolences and sympathy in
the recent passing of my dad, Homer T. Stakes, Sr, on October 30th, 2005. He
worked for AMC for 18 years and is the sole reason I even have fooled with
these cars since the 1960s. He owned nothing but American Motors vehicles
(with exception of one 62 Chevy truck) in his life, sort of as I have driven
nothing but AMC since 1976...305 cars ago. So thanks to all of you who have
kept him in your prayers this holiday season.
