Sorry both cars are together and I don't have a spare to send you a
picture of. They have (the screw/bolt) a tendency to loosen up. But
without pushing the button on the side of the switch to remove the
knob/shaft assembly and remove it the screw/bolt cannot fall out and
accidentally get lost. The only other thought is that is was not in
there and omitted by a previous owner. Was the switch tight before you
removed it? This is a very specific part and I don't think it could be
made from an ordinary bolt very easily. And I do fabricating and machine
work. Check the floor under the seats to see if you can find it.  It is
simple to spot. A bolt with a round head with a hole in it, and a screw
driver slot across the whole head. The head itself may only be 1/8" to
3/16" thick and the whole thing only 1/2"-3/4" long.
