Thanks for the warning but I am careful. Besides the car is in a nice
big garage and I always make sure I drink a lot of fluids. I am on a low
salt diet and when it gets this hot I take salt pills too. This real hot
weather has come 6 weeks early this week.

Doc, you please watch yourself out there. Last week here, the whole week, it
was in the high 90's with high humidity, just our usual Houston summer. I
let the boys out back to play, and I came in to check emails real quick.
There were two young men working on the house across the street, painting
it, in the heat. Thay have been working on it now for about 3 weeks, really
looks nice. This is a photo I took of it when we had SNOWFALL thsi apst
Christmas Eve here in Houston, never happened before!

Anyhows, I hear this 'uuuuhhhhhh' and looked out the window and saw this
thin fellow on the roof, collaspe, and fall off the damned roof, so I
grabbed my remote phone and went outside, his painting partner was already
holding him up, seems he hit the ladder, then bricks in garden, on the way
down, his face bloodied up, I called 911 quickly. They got over here in less
than 5 minutes, he was now sitting up, but still did not know where he was,
what day it was, whose house he was at, nor how many fingers any of us was
holding up. The ambulance took him away, and he was in the hospital for two
days. He is back at work now, but the heat took him out, almost a heat
stroke! Young man, about 45 and in perfect health! All the tests came back
negative, and now they take more breaks and lots of Gatorade.

Speaking of Gatorade, when I go to the pick a parts in summer here, I
measure how HOT it is two ways: one, I have a ECKO oven thermometer in my
toolbox, and not unusual to be pulling a radio, or chrome, or other parts
(some will blister you) off a car and see it hit 140 degrees. I also drink
massive amounts of Gatorade, and the record is SIX QUARTS without having to
pee one time, it all sweated out!

So Doc, ya'll be careful out there on the AMCs in summer!
