Ok, I'm back. Salsa stains not withstanding. But
you fold the box in 1/2 traim off excess, and tape away.
WARNING.............SINCE 9/11 FedEx won't allow
DUCT TAPE. But you can get cheap shipping tape at Office Max, about 6 for $5,
which is about the cheapest I have seen. But you might use a whole roll or 1 1/2
rolls on the cardboard, but who cares, it is wrapped nicely and acceptable by
all shippers wrapped in cardboard. No crate, no paper, just wrapped in
cardboard.
The reason I suggest this is this is how many
bumper shops in Houston ship them. Yes, there are little taco trucks outside
most of them, but no shippers complain, and none of them have any license, but
whatever that meat is in the tacos sure is good. Maybe they been shotting cats
up in Wisconsin again and cooking them, but mixed with pico de gallo is is ALL
GOOD.
So next time one of you consider shipping a bumper,
take it from someone who has shipped well over 300 of them thru the years, and
never had one damaged this way. Now back to our regularly scheduled
taco.
Oh, before I forget, please remember you have some
(yes, the terrorists f*cked that up too) shipping limits on sizes for diferent
countries. AShipping a bumper from Houston to say, Canada eh would be about
$150-$250 depending on shipper. I suggest they pick it up THIS side of the
border, which many Canooks have a US P. O. Box or mailing address just for that;
it is how I get my 71-74 spoilers and other "long" items into Canada. And it
saves the buyer some serious bucks they could later spend on something like
Lebatts.

Was that me? I have an ambassador bumper for sale. I never checked on
shipping though. How do you ship it wrap it in cardboard?
I hear you, I was going to bid on a bumper for
Ambassador in CT but the fellow wanted $100 in shipping! I have shipped many
bumpers, all types AMC in the last 22 years, even just sent a mint front
bumper for Project SCC/Rambler that Doug Glad & crew are building that
little 67 American for Car Craft, but shipping it from Houston to LA was
$30, and most bumpers are about $30. The best way to ship them is usually
FedEx as opposed to UPS or USPS. Just my annoying comment on shipping them,
others may be different!

If I don't see a shipping charge, I'll either e-mail the seller or
pass it by. Was going to bid on a rear bumper for my Hornet but the
shipping calculator said $98. eddiestakes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
