[BaadAssGremlins] Engine center measurements(Gremlin body)

Could someone with a V8 Gremlin please do an easy
measurement for me??  I need the distance from the
carb air-cleaner stud (V8)center of a 4bbl, to the
firewall, where the firewall to hood seal is
attached(row of mounting clips). Or the top of the
wiper motor attaching plate where it attaches to the
firewall. I traded an old  rearend assy to a friend
who runs  a custom body shop for some work on my 1972
Gremlin. One thing he is  doing is installing my
fiberglass 5" cowl scoop and painting my hood. I need
the center of carb from firewall distance so that he
can correctly make the opening in my hood. I want the
scoop functional.WITHOUT butchering my hood(too big a
hole or wrong place).Thanks alot,Joe
