It's been a while since I took photos of the Gremlin. About the only
difference in the appearance is the front fenders.......they are now in
primer. I haven't spent much time in the garage lately. There have been
other priorities (we have had a 3 year old living with us since the first of
January) and changes in the job.
I did spend time (and money) getting more parts I wanted. I found
an NOS 77 AMX tachometer, a passenger side non-remote mirror and a Gremlin
name-plate. Also spent a little time at the dinning room table cutting and
fitting the walnut veneer to fit the instrument cluster, the glove box cover and
the glove box surround. Doc, I'm sure you can relate to the raised eyebrow
I got from the wife.....lol. Hopefully, I'll get dash pieces painted when
warmer weather is here and I'll shoot some photos.
It looks like Saturday and Sunday will be warm and dry. We have a lot of
rain in the area and the yard reminds me of a spring thaw in
Michigan. Maybe I can clear enough space to get to the
Gremlin fire up the 401 again. Maybe the thunder of all those horses will
get me motivated.
I don't think anyone wants to see the Gremlin in paint any more than I do.
The color I've decided on is called San Mareno Red. Heck, right now,
I'd be happy if it were just in primer.
Thanks for asking about the Gremlin.........
Rick
