Nice find on the parts, bummer on the price's. Some idiots think they
have gold and are sometimes stupid enough to crush the parts rather than
take a reasonable offer.

Well Yesterday I was told we have 2 days off work cause of the cold
so I found a local yard that has lots of older cars. It has a 70
gremlin, 70 hornet, 72 matador, 68 rebel, and a 79 concord.
The rebel is toast few parts left does have a 390 with no valve
covers.
The Gremlin has good 1/4 ans good glass, and clean fenderwells
(battery area) also has interior parts missing gauges, has good hood

Hornet has excellent front end clean fenderwells good glass good
interior etc.
Matador has 304 and is a good parts car.

Concord is toats but has good glass.

I told the guy I wanted some parts like the disk brake setup from
the concord and matador, hoods, fenders from hornet...etc
Cars are difficult to get to but he said he will be crushing most
everything as soon as weather breaks. So I should come back then.
I asked what he wanted for the stuff and he said he gets 300 bucks
ea for the brake setups. I realise some people sell em for that but
they are all cleaned, bead blasted and inspected,,, theses are far
from that! The setup on my 72 grem I got for 60 bucks! I think 100
would be fair. Looks like he is tryin to get rich off a few ramblers.
I am sure they will get crushed as he seems the type.
I will go there one more time in the spring and see if I can reason
with him.
In the mean time I still need disks for the drag grem. SO I will
keep up the hunt for a cheap concord or spirit.
Now I am off to the garage to work on my cars.
