I don't care what anybody say's, Metro's are cool cars. When my father was looking for my mothers first car in 1955 he was looking at a Metro. The problem was interior size and even 2 adults and 2 children was not a good fit. At the city garage where the guy works that I bought my Hornet from there is a guy that works there that has 2 of them. His wife has a stock one and he has a Hot rodded one. His was to far gone to restore so he built a 2"X4" square tube frame and used a BB Chebby for power. At the spring Ardsley show last year there was 2 Metro's there. Both looked stock and were mint looking. One was stock but the other which was owned by a woman had a late mode 4 cyl. ricer drive train in it with an automatic trans and an all modern suspension. She said she needed the automatic and liked the modern suspension so she could drive it. So go for it Joe and be glad you are getting all those spare parts. I would imagine Metro parts would be harder to get than AMC parts. On the 53 Ford with the flattie that was the last car I did a body resto on when I ran a body shop. That motor was so smooth and quiet you couldn't tell that the thing was running when you sat in it. "Doc" ------------------------ Yahoo!
