I know many Chebby guys that did what Gary said to cure the heat sink problem on their cars with headers. It is especially bad on the BB Chebby's with headers in Camero's. If you run headers you will always have that heat absorption problem (slow cranking after you shut down for a short time) just jumper the two large terminals on the Chevy solenoid (on the starter) and run the cable from the AMC (Ford) solenoid to the GM starter. Since I went to this change I've not had the slow crank problem return. Gary 'The Mix'
