Hey, we are just spoiled here in the South,
heehee.....for instance, I just got back from going to the diner around the
corner and then putting some of this Shell V-Power crap in the tank of the Rebel
401 convertible "Machine". Yes, top is down. And it is 61 degrees right now at
9:45 at night. I can't tell you how much the Ram Air makes a difference
when the temp is between 53-66 degrees, seems to easily have a 15+ more hp added
to the 350+ it already has. And for those of you who are fortunate enough to
have a AMC convertible, there are some great all weather speakers in metal
boxes, about 6 inches across and abuot 12 inches high, that are sold at Best
Buy. I do not remember the name of them, but I installed them in my ragtop many
years ago in the 1980s simply because humidity eats up speakers here. These
things sound great at 80mph and Pink Floyd The Division Bell cranked up. Sounds
good with Styx Equinox, John Mellencamp Rain On The Scarecrow and other "oldies"
too. Since cassettes are fixing to go the way of the 8track you can get some
awesome deals on them, picked up Foreigner's first cassette at Walgreens for
$4.25. They had some other good ones but I was out of money.
And for those of you who have 8 track tape players
in your AMC, there is a website called www.8trackheaven.com which will make one
forget all about war, tsunami, ice, 50 degree below zero temps and non AMC
threads. Here is the actual sound of a 8 track player changing for
instance:
Some of are nuts. And nostalgic. I don';t think I
could, nor would, exist in extremes like Brian in Sascathe, Sachaks, Sasketchup,
Sasquach, dammit, Canada has. I just could not handle three hours of summer.
Ya'll can laugh at us when we are getting our assholes handed to us by another
hurricane however.
