I been driveing Ramblers and AMC's since 1962 and have endured years of
abuse from friends and the general motoring public for my choice of car.
I origially bought the orange Hornet to replace my Chevy as a daily
driver. A nice clean 6 cyl 1 bbl, auto with P/S, P/B and A/C. If Ibought
the 3rd Hornet I would be getting rid of the Chevy and if I get the AMX
instead I will still get rid of the Chevy. Hopefully by november I will
have all the mechanic's done in the orange car. Today was a bust getting
anything done. I was supposed to get the Delco alt. installed but when I
went to go out the door it was pourig rain out so I decided to stay
home. My wife just told me they said we had 7 inches of rain in 8 hors
so far. It's the remaider of the last hurricane. I haven't been able to
get i otuch with the owner of the AMX. I will call after dinner. You
should go look at that AMX Lu. You said a rural used car lot? The owner
might not know what he has and let it go for cheap.

LOL! Doc, you are even more hooked on AMCs than I am! Good luck on
the heavy decision - an AMX would be a nice addition, huh? John told
me he found an AMX (get this) for sale ON A USED CAR LOT way out in
rural Alabama! I am begging him to take me there to see it, but he is
hesitating....I think he needs me to focus on the Gremlin for
now....but geez...just sitting there for sale on a lot beside the
newer cars! I would like to just take a photo of that at least. Don't
see that scene everyday. -Lu-
