thats because the AMC V8 dwarfs the chevy i'll stick with my mighty big block sized engine over your teeny weeny chiivy,i like it when people ask,Is that a 440 mopar? :)

>A Chevy engine. Bart have you thrown her off the site yet. There was a time he would have but he has gotten a lot better now. A Gremlin with a Chevy engine running on the road is better than a Gremlin being crushed by a crusher. In my opinion and I think most will agree the Chevy engine should be your last resort. If you look you should find an AMC 360 with a little luck even a 401. They are out there. You would make us a lot happier if you went the AMC route rather than the Chevy. Think you will be happier too in the long run.

Ros, Nice to have you here on our little group. This is Gary 'The Mix' from Cleveland, Ohio. I try and stay silent untill others have voiced their opinions here. My Gremmie is called 'The Mix' because at one time I had many different brands of parts in there, including a 400 SBC with a Muncie 4-speed. However, now that I've 'seen the light' and put back the AMC V-8 (that it came with when new) I get even more compliments. This is your project, DO IT YOUR WAY! By the way, the car did handle much better and the spark plugs were easier to change with the Chevy engine in there. Bart, please don't freak out! I'm just tellin' the truth.                     'The Mix'
