I once bought a Spirit for 50$ for some pieces I needed stripped it and trashed the shell. I sold the rest of the parts for around 500$. It seems it is always the rear panels that take a beating. Luckily for me the Hornet hatchback only has 2 plastic end caps and a center plastic cover that acts as a rest for the hidden trunk floor and covers the fuel filler tube. The panel on each side that conects the end caps with the center is made of the same cardboard as the door panel backing. Luckily for me only one plastic end cap was damaged beyond repair and I was able to buy one for 19$. I got plenty of that cardboard for when I make new door panels.
