Bart,
Thanks. I was gonna go skinnier but that's what fit the stock rim. LOL
I am tryin to decide which rim style to use the factory gremlin rallys that are on the front (with the centercap ofcourse) or the factory AMX magnum 500s. I need to get new trim rings but I have all the center caps for either. I am leaning towards the AMX rims. I have 2 sets just gotta restore em.
The crapkota has been good to me. I bought it 4 years ago for 400, put 200 in for brakes and tune up, had 154,000 miles on it. Since then water pump and radiator had to be replaced and last summer the rear end broke. Water pump and radiator 100.00, rear end 100.00, now has 193,000 miles and has hauled a ton of fieldstone literally with 5 bags of portland cement (90lbs a bag). She was sweatin that day! Sure was east steering.
Davis

YOu should consider some mag wheels like Centerlines or try and find some aluminum slotte dmags, those look killer on a Gremlin,i'd LOOVE to find a set of Ansen sprints or Fentons for mine 15/8 or 10 rear 15/3 or 4 front
