I believe the AM/FM/CB radio's had an extension you had to screw on top of the radio antenna to use the CB. A rare option, but one that was expensive back then and the output and the quality and the range of the CB was minimal. My small peaked out CB was good for 20 miles and was small enough to hide in the glove box. Total cost 200$ back in 1979. It still works fine today.
