My son came home early saturday morning and told me he had to leave his Javelin in the next town because it died on the way home. It rained like mad all morning and since I just got a clean bill of health friday from the doctor I wasen't about to go out in the rain to try to fix his car. I had him call my friend and after he got off from work at 1:30 he picked up my son and they went and got the car. The problem was no spark. My friend has some kind of ignition box and he started the car and they drove it home. Turns out the 6 month old Acell Super coil went bad and the points are burnt. I think I have a used one in the garage that was on my yellow Hornet for 25 years that I changed only because it was old not bad. My son is going to look for it today. I finished up my tac bracket in the afternoon and was watching the NASCAR Bush race when the door buzzer rings. It was the FedEx man with the dash & radio delete plate that Rick sent me. Rick you said them people at FedEx said it was comeing tuesday? Boy them guy's are fast. Last week it was my Tac from Summit in 2 days. Rick you did some fine job packing that thing up so it arrived undamaged. There was almost 3 trash can liners full of them white styrofoam balls in the box. Thanks man. As far as the slight damage, a crack above the steering column you said was there, it ain't no big thing. Some of the Plastic Weldiing System epoxy glue and a piece of either 1/8 plexiglass or 1/16 model plastic glued behind it to reinforce it and it will be as good as new. Thanks Rick I owe you big time. Now I have all the parts for a complete new dash only useing the original glove box door and package tray from the original car. It's time to get really rolling on repairing and refinishing all these parts for installation by mid may. Later all. "Doc"
