There is a rectangular hole where the base sits up against the back of the plastic dash part near the claw that catches the glove box door. Stick a 1/8 round rod into it and pull the tumbler out. The rod pushes against the pins in the lock allowing the tumbler to be pulled out. It is a real pain. Since I was going to have the glove box lock re-keyed anyway I just gave the panel, lock and all to the locksmith. Cost me 16$ to be re-keyed and I had him leave the lock out since I am refinishing the panel. Also be careful that the pins don't fall out of the tumbler when you remove it. The locksmith taped mine up so they wouldn't fall out. Hope this helps.
